Alas, there are never enough hours in the day for beading, yet alone blogging, but that said, I still try to post periodic updates . . .

October 19, 2011
Been busy in the studio planning for upcoming trips to New Jersey and then Dallas as well as starting new workshop designs for 2012 (is it really almost 2012!?).

Today I also added a new category to our Bead Boutique Department: Specials and Closeouts.  Once upon a time we had an ebay store where we featured many of our limited edition and closeout items.  It was a bit much for just me to keep up with that and the on line store, so I am slowly incorporating the two into one.

Definitely have a peek now and then as there will be more and more going up there, including some cool vintage pieces, pressed glass and crystal stones and even some discontinued kits.

Out this week and open for registration: Stitch N Craft's 2012 Workshop schedule.  I'm doing three new first time ever workshops there!  A two day masterclass workshop in beaded sculpture, a one day bracelet workshop, and a one day necklace workshop.  This is the first time any of these designs and workshops are being taught!  Here's a little sneak peek of the new necklace:                                     and the new bracelet:

August 26th through September 30th, 2011

5 weeks in England with stops in Oxford, Torquay, Edinburgh, Northwich, Norwich, Swansea, and Robin Hood's Bay!  Whew!!
Most of the time I was working, but I did manage a little sight seeing here and there.  Here are a few of the photos.

Rosslyn Chapel, Scotland                  Melrose Abbey, Scotland

Exeter Cathedral, Exeter                   Stained Glass Window in Exeter Cathedral

St. Julian's Cell, Norwich                            Church of Julian's Cell

The Codfather, gluten free fish & chips - and yes! - mushy peas!!, Northwich

Just a few of the many amazing places I visited while back in the Motherland.
Some how I always end up in all of the castles, cathedrals, abbeys, and churches any where within a 30 mile radius of me.  Can you tell I'm the daughter of an art historian mother who's specialty is medieval history and gothic architecture??!!! Maybe that explains all those beaded maces too . . .

Wow!  Has it really been almost 3 months since I last blogged?  Time does fly!
Getting ready here in the studio for Beads on the Vine at the end of July.  Brand new project - the Star Gazer Bracelet!

In addition to getting ready to hit the road again, I've been working on a new book about working with glass eyes.  It will be self published shortly - stay tuned for more information about when and how you can order it . . . .

Back from the lovely South West.  We won't mention the 20 weather out there!  Been pulling some 2am late nights trying to get ready to hit the road again.  Florida next week.  Then one full month in Europe - two weeks in UK and two in Italy - and yes! it is work although I have managed to sneak some time to visit the family while I'm on that side of the pond.
Off to bead, I mean bed, i suppose . . .
