Description

Seeing as we are now in the 20's and the 1920's have always had a special place in my heart, I decided to take my inspiration right out of the flapper era. This throwback design is reminiscent of the long necklace style embraced by the fashion forward ladies of the twenties. The elaborate centerpiece consists of a rectangular structure with a stepped lower position. A sparkling rivoli is suspended from the center and the chain incorporates square elements. This tribute to the Deco Era is a wonderful study in peyote patterning and form.
Originally a video workshop, this project is now available as a kit.
Techniques include: peyote stitch, herringbone stitch and chenille.
